![]() I'm wondering if the roll-out is so slow because they are concerned that the design doesn't lend itself to visibility. Because so few creators currently have access to them, it's exceptionally rare to see them in our feed. The roll-out seems exceptionally slow, even by LinkedIn's standards!Ī carousel post automatically rotates through it's pages and those pages can includes images, text or video. LinkedIn's newest type of post was announced last year but so far very few creators have the feature enabled on their account. They know their audience are time short and have plenty of more interesting posts appearing on their homepage feed so they started to get creative with Document posts.Ī colourful, eye catching first page with very limited text thus requiring the reader to click/swipe to see more - this is how Document posts have evolved and this is why people refer to such posts as 'Carousels' LinkedIn users soon realised that was a very bad idea! I think LinkedIn designed this feature so that people could post whitepaper reports or pages of a detailed thesis on A4 pdf or Word documents! It's a poor name for a post that is essentially a powerpoint presentation or pdf document with pages that can be rotated through. This is a great example of how LinkedIn failed to understand their users and have created confusion as a result. Nope.many people call document posts 'Carousels' but that is not their official name.
